Whatever God says I have is what I have. Say this statement out loud three times: “I have what God says I have.” If God says that He gives me joy, then I have joy.” These things I have spoken unto you that your joy may be full.” (John 15:11). If God says that I have peace, then I have peace. He said, “My peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you” (John 14:27). If God says that I am free then I am free. He says, “If the Son therefore, makes you free then you are free indeed (John 8:36). If God says that I have His faith then I have His faith. He said, “Think soberly as God has given to every man the measure of faith” (Romans 12:3). If God says that I have redemption then I have redemption. He said, “In Christ we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:7). If God says that I have righteousness, then I have righteousness. He said, “Their righteousness is of Me says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). If God says that I have His blessings, then I have His blessings. He said, “Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us” (Ephesians 1:3). If God says that I have His victory then I have His victory. He said, “Thanks be unto God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57).
Our minds have to be renewed to these truths. We can align our thoughts to this way, the way God sees things for our life, which always lines up with His word.
I think of the story told about God speaking to St. Peter in a dream in Acts 10. Peter sees a sheet let down from heaven covering four corners of the earth. God says, “Kill and eat.” Peter says, “Not Me.” God says, “Kill and eat.” Peter says, “Not Me.” God says, “Kill and eat.” Peter says, “Not Me.”
In essence, God calls the gentiles clean. Peter says, “Not so Lord.” God calls the gentiles clean. Peter says, “Not so Lord.” A third time, God calls the gentiles clean. Peter says, “Not so Lord.” Finally, God says, “If I call it clean then you call it clean.” God was thinking, “clean.” Peter was thinking, “unclean.” Peter changed his view to agree with God’s view. We can agree with God’s view of us. Peter responded by preaching to Cornelius’s house and many were saved and filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues (see Acts 10).
If God says that we have it, then we can get in agreement with Him. We can start saying we have what God says we have based upon the promises found in His Holy Word. Say it three more times: “I have what God says I have.”
Meditate for five minutes on this lesson.
Journal one whole page. Share your thoughts somehow and invite someone to church.
Pray this Prayer: Father, help me learn, accept and embrace Your promises in Christ. Help me walk in the light of what I have in You. Help me to see and say that I have boldness, access, and confidence by the faith of Him. Help me to see and say that I have what You say I have. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
Thanks for all you give, Pastor Joe. Your messages are always right on for the day! See you Thursday!
